Movement
Walking as a Daily Practice
9 April 2026 · 4 min read
There is no movement with a better ratio of benefit to effort than walking.
It supports metabolic health, mood, digestion, sleep quality and cardiovascular fitness — and it asks for nothing except time and shoes.
We usually suggest anchoring it to a meal rather than a target. Ten to fifteen minutes after eating is enough to be meaningful. Longer walks can find their place on the days that allow them.
Consistency, not intensity, is what changes the picture over a year.
